Office of the Vice President for Research
Advances UConn’s research, scholarship, innovation, and creative activity by supporting faculty, students, and research teams across the research lifecycle. The office provides leadership, resources, and services that strengthen research excellence, foster collaboration, and expand the university’s impact in Connecticut and beyond.

Institute for Student Success
Leads university-wide efforts to improve retention, progress toward degree, and completion through coordinated advising, academic support services, learning communities, and data-informed initiatives.

Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning
Supports faculty in the design and delivery of effective, inclusive, and evidence-based teaching. CETL offers consultations, workshops, teaching resources, and programming focused on pedagogy, instructional innovation, and student learning.

Office of the Registrar
Maintains the integrity of academic records and oversees course registration, scheduling, grading, and degree certification. The office supports students, faculty, and departments by keeping accurate records and efficient administration of academic processes.

Honors Program
Provides academically rigorous opportunities for high-achieving students through enhanced coursework, faculty mentorship, research, and experiential learning within a structured academic community.

Undergraduate Advising
Promotes and enhances holistic undergraduate student success, retention, and degree completion through intentional exploration, academic planning, policy navigation, and campus referrals.

Student-Athlete Success Program
Supports student-athletes through advising, tutoring, mentoring, and skill development to ensure they receive the full benefit of a UConn education.

Veterans Affairs and Military Programs
Offers support for veterans, active-duty service members, and military-connected students, including assistance with educational benefits, transition to university life, and ongoing academic support.

Early College Programs
Offers UConn courses and college credit to high school students. Courses are aligned with university standards and support college readiness and transition to higher education.

Continuing and Professional Education
Provides noncredit courses, certificates, and workforce development programs for adult learners and professionals. Offerings are developed in partnership with faculty and industry to support skill development, career advancement, and lifelong learning.

Summer and Winter Programs
Offers courses during intersession periods, allowing students to accelerate degree progress, complete requirements, or explore new areas of study.

Office of Outreach & Engagement
Advances community-engaged learning and scholarship by connecting students, faculty, and staff with community partners. Initiatives include service-learning, public engagement, and collaborative projects that apply academic knowledge to real-world challenges.

Office of Clinical Placement Coordination
Manages clinical and field placement requirements for students in programs that require experiential training. The office works with academic units and external partners to ensure students’ compliance with requirements and support students’ progress through required clinical experiences.
